Understand seats
A “seat” is one slot for one active shop. If you run three locations and want all three on TracsConnect, you’ll pay for three seats.
How seats work day-to-day
Section titled “How seats work day-to-day”Your subscription comes with however many seats you signed up for. Every shop you’ve activated uses one of those seats. The Available Seats counter at the top of Shop Licenses shows how many you have left.
- Adding a new shop uses a seat.
- You can’t drop your subscribed shop limit below the number of currently active shops.
- If a shop must be released before you lower the limit, contact TracsConnect support; the current Billing page activates discovered shops but does not expose a shop-deactivation control.
A quick example
Section titled “A quick example”Your subscription is set to three seats. You’ve activated the downtown shop and the south-side shop, so you’re using two seats and you have one Available Seat. When you open the brand-new west-side shop, you can activate it without buying anything extra — that third seat is already in your subscription.
When to add seats
Section titled “When to add seats”Add a seat before you try to activate a new shop, or click Buy Seat on Shop Licenses when you’re at capacity. That opens Manage Shops, where you can preview and confirm the new shop limit.
