Technician Productivity answers: Who is producing labor hours, revenue, and profit during the selected period?

What it shows

Each row is one technician with these columns:

• Technician name and code.
• Work orders and invoices.
• Hours billed and hours worked (when available).
• Flag rate.
• Labor revenue, labor cost, labor profit, and margin percentage.
• Average hours per repair order and average labor dollars per repair order.

Where the numbers come from

The report uses technician assignments, labor lines, and invoiced work from the selected shops and date range. Hours worked depends on time-tracking data being available for each technician.

How to use it

Use this to coach productivity, not just speed. Compare hours billed, profit, and margin together — a tech who runs high hours but low margin may be taking on the wrong jobs or giving away too much. Flag rate (billed hours divided by hours worked) tells you how efficiently billed time is being captured.

Why it may look wrong

• Technician assignment is missing on some labor lines or work orders.
• Hours worked are not recorded for every technician, so that column may show blank.
• Work was billed in TRACS outside the selected date range.
• Labor cost or rate settings in TRACS need review.
