What customers see in the portal

Customers open the Customer Portal from a QR code, text link, or your shop’s web address.

After signing in, customers land on a dashboard with sidebar navigation. Here’s what they can get to:

  • Dashboard — an overview of their vehicles, recent work orders, and any recommended services waiting for attention.
  • My Vehicles — all vehicles on file at your shop, with service dates and the option to add a vehicle.
  • Repair Status — live status of any work order currently in progress. When a work order is waiting on their approval, the customer approves it here.
  • Work Orders — their service history, past invoices, and completed jobs.
  • Recommended Services — services your shop has flagged for their vehicles, with due dates.
  • Appointments — upcoming appointments, when that feature is turned on for your shop.
  • Documents — uploaded documents tied to their vehicles, when that feature is turned on.

Customers also see your shop’s branding — logo, colors, and any welcome message you’ve set up.

Customers cannot see internal notes, labor rates, pricing rules, or anything in your shop workflow. Those stay in TRACS and the TracsConnect dashboard.

Ask them to close the portal tab and reopen it from your QR or link. Then check whether the related work order or customer record has refreshed in TracsConnect.
