Connect to TracsConnect
Connecteam setup has two parts: connect the account, then review employee mappings.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”You should have:
- Connecteam owner access
- A Connecteam plan that includes access keys
- TRACS employees ready to map to Connecteam users
- A TracsConnect dashboard account that can manage integrations
Step 1: Create a Connecteam access key
Section titled “Step 1: Create a Connecteam access key”Sign in to Connecteam as an owner. Open Integrations or Settings, then go to API Key or API Keys.
Create a key for TracsConnect and copy it when Connecteam shows it. If Connecteam asks for an expiration date, choose one that fits your shop’s rotation schedule.
Step 2: Open Connecteam in TracsConnect
Section titled “Step 2: Open Connecteam in TracsConnect”Sign in to your dashboard, click Integrations in the sidebar, and find the Connecteam card.
Click Setup. A setup window opens.
Step 3: Paste the key
Section titled “Step 3: Paste the key”Paste the key into Connecteam API Key.
TracsConnect stores it securely and masks the value after saving.
Step 4: Test the connection
Section titled “Step 4: Test the connection”Click Test connection. TracsConnect checks that it can reach Connecteam with the key.
If you see a red error, jump to Troubleshoot.
Step 5: Save
Section titled “Step 5: Save”Click Save at the bottom of the setup window.
Step 6: Review employee mappings
Section titled “Step 6: Review employee mappings”Use the Connecteam setup wizard and mapping manager to match each TRACS employee to the correct Connecteam user.
Don’t rely on timeclock sync until the mappings look right. A wrong mapping puts time on the wrong employee.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”Mapped employees can use the supported Connecteam timeclock workflow, and TracsConnect can record the matched time in TRACS according to your shop’s sync settings.
