Google Calendar
Google Calendar lets your shop mirror TRACS appointments into one selected Google calendar. TRACS stays the source of truth: appointment changes flow out to Google Calendar, but edits made in Google Calendar do not write back to TRACS.
What syncs to Google Calendar
Section titled “What syncs to Google Calendar”- New TRACS appointments received through the live appointment stream
- Appointment subject, start time, end time, customer name, phone, and vehicle summary
- Customer email when the setting is enabled
- Appointment notes when the setting is enabled
- Updates and deletions for appointments TracsConnect has already linked to a Google event
What does not sync back
Section titled “What does not sync back”- Google Calendar edits
- Google Calendar event deletes
- Google attendees or RSVP status
- Personal calendars unless you select them during setup
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- A Google account that can write to the calendar you want to use
- A selected shop in the TracsConnect dashboard
- Permission to manage calendar integrations for that shop
What you’ll do next
Section titled “What you’ll do next”- Connect Google Calendar to TracsConnect.
- Choose the Google calendar that should receive TRACS appointments.
- Turn on sync and save.
- Review the known caveats before relying on the mirrored calendar.
