Appointment
A scheduled time for a customer to bring a vehicle in. Appointments can come from your online booking page, from an integration like Setmore, or be added by hand in TRACS.
Connection
A link between TracsConnect and another tool you use (Setmore, QuickBooks, your phone system). Setting up a connection usually means signing in to the other tool once and confirming a few settings.
Custom field
A piece of information you decide to collect on a form — for example, asking a customer for their Vehicle Year on your Setmore booking page. TracsConnect uses custom fields to capture details that aren’t built into the other tool.
Dashboard
The TracsConnect website where you see your shop’s information. Lives at app.tracsconnect.com.
Integration
Same as connection — a way to make another tool work with TracsConnect.
Sync
The process of moving information between TracsConnect and another tool. Most syncs happen automatically in the background.
Work order
A record in TRACS for the work being done on a vehicle. Each appointment usually becomes a work order when the vehicle arrives.
