Connect to TracsConnect

Once your RingCentral app details are ready, the rest of the setup happens in your TracsConnect dashboard.

You should have:

  • A RingCentral account with a text-capable number
  • A RingCentral app that uses JWT auth flow
  • Client ID, Client Secret, and JWT Token from that app
  • Your Sandbox or Production choice made

Step 1: Open the RingCentral integration in TracsConnect

Section titled “Step 1: Open the RingCentral integration in TracsConnect”
In TracsConnect

Sign in to your dashboard, click Integrations in the sidebar, and find the RingCentral card.

The TracsConnect integrations page with the RingCentral card visible.

Click the RingCentral card. A setup window opens.

The RingCentral setup window with Client ID, Client Secret, and JWT Token fields.

Paste the Client ID, Client Secret, and JWT Token into the matching fields. TracsConnect stores these securely and shows masked values if you come back to edit later.

Choose Sandbox while you are testing. Choose Production when you are ready to connect the live RingCentral app your shop will use with customers.

Step 4: Add the sender phone number (optional)

Section titled “Step 4: Add the sender phone number (optional)”

If you want texts to come from a specific RingCentral number, type it here with the full country code, like +15551234567. You can leave this blank and add it later.

Click Test connection. TracsConnect signs in to RingCentral using the credentials you entered and confirms they work.

If you see a red error, jump to Troubleshoot.

Click Save at the bottom of the setup window. TracsConnect stores the RingCentral settings for your shop.

TracsConnect can now send customer texts through RingCentral. Before you turn on live messaging, send a test text to your own phone through the normal TracsConnect message workflow to confirm everything works end to end.
