Inventory basics
The Inventory page lets managers and service advisors review stocked items without opening TRACS.
What you can review
Section titled “What you can review”- Item code, description, manufacturer, category, and location.
- Quantity on hand, quantity available, and quantity tied to open work orders.
- Min and max reorder levels.
- Cost and unit price.
Use the filter chips at the top to quickly narrow the list to items that are low, out of stock, or past reorder threshold. The search box finds items by code, description, or UPC.
Common tasks
Section titled “Common tasks”- Check whether a part or tire is in stock before promising it to a customer.
- Filter to low stock or reorder needed to plan an order.
- Click an item to open its detail drawer and see full specs, vendor, and notes.
- Use Scan & Link to attach a barcode to an item, or Bulk Import to add items from a file.
Why inventory may look wrong
Section titled “Why inventory may look wrong”- The wrong shop is selected — Inventory requires a single shop to be selected.
- A tire or part is on an open work order, which reduces available quantity.
- A receiving or adjustment was just completed in TRACS and has not synced yet.
- Item details such as vendor, min quantity, or location are not filled in on the TRACS side.
